It's been a busy ol' week here but in between, I am pleased to say, there has also been some fun crafting.
So here's what I was up to yesterday . . .
Along with a lovely group of fellow crafty enthusiasts, I spent the morning at Berylune in the pretty town of Royal Leamington Spa, and tried my hand at Screen Printing
- and it was oh-so-much-fun :-)
The talented and creative Lara, our tutor, despite having on more than one occasion to interrupt our lively nattering and call us back to order, led us through the process step-by-step:
. . . making our screens,
. . . cutting out our chosen designs,
. . . mixing up the inks, and demonstrating the technique,
. . . and then assisting and encouraging us as we set to work ourselves.
Between us we produced a variety of designs . . .
Mine is the very simple little chubby birdie (above pic: top left) , but I have big plans for this birdie though, so watch this space . . .
Oh, and as always . . . there was cake : - )
Thanks Karen, for organizing a fab & fun workshop (en 'n heerlike lekker oggend), and thanks to Lara and the team at Berylune for your expert tuition and yummy cake.
Have a happy weekend,
'til next time
xoxo
