A whole week's gone by since my last post - tsk, tsk . . .
I have a good excuse though :-)
The Hubby is away in Japan (lucky him, eh?) so my lovely Mama & the Dad are visiting from Scotland to keep me & the pups company.

Sooo, not a lot of crafting going on, but we are getting out & exploring, having lots of yummy lunches and scrumptious teas,

and celebrating an upcoming birthday . . .
Thanks sooo much for all your sweet & lovely comments about my Scrappy Glamping Trip quilt though, and I hope to have it completed in the not-too-distant future.

When I lived out of town I loved when my parents would come to see me or when I got to go see them, there is nothing like having mom around to cook with... I had a friend go to Japan once and bring me back kitkats, they have tea kitkats there!! Strange... And the way they package their food is to near perfection in Japan..

They are indeed, Joy :-) And yes, Jerry thinks she ought to be comfortable too, but she does have 3 very comfy beds of her own in various parts of the house! But how can I resist that sweet, adoring little face ;-)

Well usually she's not allowed up on the bed, but I think she thinks it's the Dogfather that made that rule and "if the cat's away... etc" ;-)

Enjoy the family! I tend to behave much the same when my hubby's travelling, but instead of a dog, my eldest daughter and I have sleepover parties in my bed, complete with 'midnight' feasts (at 8pm!)...Chrissie x
ReplyDeleteOur spaniel knew when it was the weekend - when one of us got up and let the dogs out of their bedroom (my sewing room by day) she would run though and jump up on the bed!

ReplyDeleteWell sounds like parties all round at your house! Happy Birthday to your dad ... how nice to be able to spend a birthday together :) My dad is turning 90 in two weeks, and the whole family is gathering for a feast to celebrate. I let my dog sneak onto my bed occasionally for early morning tea and computer time ... don't tell!! Usually he only hops on the bed in our camping trailer with my son. It's fun to spoil them sometimes though isn't it? Enjoy your time with your parents Gilly. Wendy x
