Spring is almost upon us [she says wishfully, despite the current weather forecast predicting snow again this weekend ] so it's time to join in the Beat the Winter blues Blog Hop over at The Quilting Gallery.
I've been so busy crocheting, knitting and sewing this past little while, that my two WIP quilts are just hanging on the rail in my craft room waiting for me to notice them again.
The tops are (just about) all done - that's the fun bit, isn't it ? But I still need to do the 3 Bs . . backing, basting and binding.
And of course I can't wait to start my next project already. . . that lovely Rouenneries Deux fabric
is tempting me ; - )
is tempting me ; - )
Anyway . . . so if you've just hopped over from the Quilting Gallery,
welcome and thanks for stopping by.
welcome and thanks for stopping by.
Here in my little blog space, it's pretty much about sharing the joy of all sorts of things, but mainly crafts - oh, and the two most-adorable-pups-in-the-world who usually manage to sneak their sweet little snouts into a pic or two three.
Please do have a wee look around, read a post or two, and enter the little giveaway if you like . . .
How would you like the chance to win a little bundle** of the oh-so-pretty lavender range of Cabbages & Roses fabrics ?
All you have to do is leave a comment on this post sometime before next Thursday, 14th March, and shortly thereafter, I'll pop your name in the hat and do the lucky draw.
I'm happy to post it anywhere, but please ensure that I'm able to contact you either via your blog link or email.
And if you'd like to follow along with my crafty adventures at gilly makes..., just click the Google Friend Connect on the sidebar - it would be lovely to welcome you.
Good luck . . .

Hi Sophie - hope you had a good weekend, just a light dusting of snow here so we did manage to get out & about, but today I'm staying indoors... that wind is ICY!

I love your quilt tops Gilly ... especially the little birdie one ... very pretty ... lovely giveaway but count me out this time as I was lucky enough to win your last one ... don't want to be too greedy :) ... have a lovely weekend ... Bee xx
ReplyDeleteYour quilt tops look amazing Gilly, and that bundle of new fabric would be tempting me too! Your pups certainly know how to ham it up for a photo ... maybe you tell them "say cheese" and it grabs their attention? Love 'em ;) Since you've offered to send 'anywhere', please sign me up for your giveaway :) Have a great weekend, and enjoy your blog hopping today! Wendy
ReplyDeleteTee hee - actually they'll do ANYTHING for a wee piece of cheese! It's one of their favourite treats.

Looks like fun! I have to say though, I'm a little disappointed that you only have 2 UFO's. What's up with that? Kiss the little brown boys for me!
ReplyDeleteCheery wave from
Bev
Tee hee - only 2 that I'm owning up to at the moment ;-)
DeleteActually there's another Cabbages & Roses one sitting on top of the cupboard just waiting for the binding to be stitched too!
And the little brown furry things are girls (despite their names, I know it can be misleading, but they don't seem to bother!), but I'll kiss them for you anyway :-)
Happy Monday Bev, and hope you feel better,
xx

ReplyDeleteA lovely giveaway Gilly - do hope I'm lucky. I'm very jealous of your Rouenneries fabric too. I have had my eye on that design for a while , but I've been strong willed! Ha! All that will disappear at the Seeing for Pleasure show at the NEC at the end of the month! Thanks for hosting the giveaway
ReplyDeleteI coveted the Rouenneries fabric for ages before I finally yielded and just bought it!
DeleteI loved the shows at the NEC last year but unfortunately we're going to be in Paris that weekend (terrible timing!) so am going to miss it this year. Enjoy it and please take lots of pics and tell me all about it afterwards.
I am going to pop down to London this weekend though for the Spring Knitting & Stitching Show at Olympia :-)

Your quilts are so pretty, my kind of fabrics. I love planning and piecing my quilts, but do not enjoy the basting and quilting - seems to take forever. Unlike many quilters, I enjoy hand stitching my bindings. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteYes they are the most adorable pups! I have big pup that might be a relation, though he is a mutt, technically. Yes please for a chance to win some lavenders... this line reminds me very much of some fabric in a quilt my grandmother always had in her guest room. It was cotton with tea and taupe cabbage roses, with a deep periwinkle satin rectangle (border?) in the center of the quilt!
ReplyDeleteHi there, your grandmother's quilt sounds lovely! Thanks for popping in and saying hello.
