Spring is almost upon us [she says wishfully, despite the current weather forecast predicting snow again this weekend ] so it's time to join in the Beat the Winter blues Blog Hop over at The Quilting Gallery.



I've been so busy crocheting, knitting and sewing this past little while, that my two WIP quilts are just hanging on the rail in my craft room waiting for me to notice them again.


The tops are (just about) all done - that's the fun bit, isn't it ? But I still need to do the 3 Bs . . backing, basting and binding.

 And of course I can't wait to start my next project already. . .  that lovely Rouenneries Deux fabric
 is tempting me  ; - )


Anyway . . .  so if you've just hopped over from the Quilting Gallery,

Here in my little blog space,  it's pretty much about sharing the joy of all sorts of things, but mainly crafts - oh, and the two most-adorable-pups-in-the-world who usually manage to sneak their sweet little snouts into a pic or two three.

    As usual those beautiful brown soulful eyes have made my heart melt! Oh I would just love a lab!
    Anyway, your quilt tops as just gorgeous - I am a kindred spirit when it comes to your fabric choices - I always love them! I am rather partial to that lovely lavender bundle too - please count me in and thank you for the opportunity :-)

      Tee hee - only 2 that I'm owning up to at the moment ;-)
      Actually there's another Cabbages & Roses one sitting on top of the cupboard just waiting for the binding to be stitched too!
      And the little brown furry things are girls (despite their names, I know it can be misleading, but they don't seem to bother!), but I'll kiss them for you anyway :-)

      I coveted the Rouenneries fabric for ages before I finally yielded and just bought it!
      I loved the shows at the NEC last year but unfortunately we're going to be in Paris that weekend (terrible timing!) so am going to miss it this year. Enjoy it and please take lots of pics and tell me all about it afterwards.
      I am going to pop down to London this weekend though for the Spring Knitting & Stitching Show at Olympia :-)

    I love the Cabbages&Roses fabrics - I used a layer cake to make the blocks for the Leanne's House quilt that I am working on just now (just several hundred more flowers to embroider!). The pups as always are gorgeous! Have a good weekend.

    Hi. thanks for the giveaway and I love your choice of fabric for the give away. Your quilts look great and I love your puppy's. I just found out that my little 8 yea rold mini penn has cancer so she will not be here very much longer. They removed a tumor that weight 4 pounds.

    What pretty pups! I grew up with labs, and they are still one of my favourite dogs. My dad was a hunter, so we always had a kennel of labs and beagles. I have a fondness for Rottweilers, too, though have never owned one.

    Your quilts are so pretty, my kind of fabrics. I love planning and piecing my quilts, but do not enjoy the basting and quilting - seems to take forever. Unlike many quilters, I enjoy hand stitching my bindings. Thanks for the giveaway!

    Yes they are the most adorable pups! I have big pup that might be a relation, though he is a mutt, technically. Yes please for a chance to win some lavenders... this line reminds me very much of some fabric in a quilt my grandmother always had in her guest room. It was cotton with tea and taupe cabbage roses, with a deep periwinkle satin rectangle (border?) in the center of the quilt!
