Much yumminess...

I wanted to bake something to take to our friends in Devon that we are visiting this weekend,

but couldn't decide between Chocolate Chip Cookies or Shortbread.
So I made both.

Now, I don't mean to be biased, but my Mum makes THE BEST shortbread, so I still need lots of practise, (so says the Hubby) but I'm learning at the foot of the master (or in my case: the Mama).
The choc chip cookie recipe also comes from the Mama and has become my "Signature Dish" :-)
I will bake them at the drop of a hat or the slightest hint, on any & every occasion and they are a much-loved staple in our kitchen cookie jar.

SO, whilst the bakes were doing their thing in the oven...

... I decided to turn the punnet of strawberries in the fridge, into a jar of jam...

Et voila... !  Quite a productive afternoon, don't you think?

We're heading south now... have a fabulous weekend,
xoxo
