We're heading down to beautiful Devon this weekend and as no road-trip is complete without a crafty project in hand to while away the time, I popped into the yarn shop yesterday afternoon for some inspiration. (We were almost out of dog food, and the yarn shop just happens to be right next door to the pet store - convenient, eh? )
I haven't yet decided what to make, or even whether to knit or crochet ! I'm leaning towards crochet, as I'm still learning this lovely skill, and fear I need the practise ;-)
Anyway, I picked out these colours - especially love the coral & jade together - and am thinking possibly, maybe, stripes or granny squares... ?
I have another 2 days to think about it, so any suggestions/ideas/tuturials would be most welcome :-)
In the meantime, here's a sneak peek at the baby-quilt-in-progress:
Have a happy day,
xoxo

DeleteI hope you have a lovely trip,Devon is such a beautiful county.
ReplyDeleteI'm often tempted to pop into TK Maxx on my food shopping days as it is right opposite Sainsburys.
I love the colours you have chosen for your project. What to make? I'm new to crochet too,and I started with granny squares and they're quick to do.Attic 24 has some great tutorials,if you go over to her blog you'll get lots of inspiration! :0)
Ooh, if only there was a TK or Homesense opposite my Sainsburys! I'd spend the grocery budget there instead ;-) Good idea, going to hop over to Attic 24 now - granny squares is currently in the lead. xx

ReplyDeleteGosh you are clever! I have yet to attempt quilting, it frightens me! Not sure why, I have visions of me huffing and puffing trying to get the quilt through the sewing machine! It's beautiful! Ada :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Ada... Be not afraid! Quilting is fab fun, and one just learns to roll & squish and somehow it goes through the machine. Go on, try it - you AND Clarice will love it! :-)
