Last Sunday, the two most-adorable-pups-in-the-world set out to take part in the annual Go Walkies fundraising event in aid of Guide Dogs.
Aunty Heather and I tagged along to keep them company, to make sure they didn'tfall jump into the canal or ate bothered the wee lambs in the fields, and looked both ways before crossing any roads.

It was such a lovely warm, sunny Spring day - just perfect for a 6.5 mile meander through the beautiful Worcestershire countryside.

The pups managed to raise £70 for Guide Dogs, and were most delighted with their goodie bag of treats that they received when crossing the finish line. Yay for Ben & Jerry, and a big thank you to our family who sponsored them : - )
So . . . what's next on the walking calendar ?
Well, on Saturday 10th May I'm taking part in my first ever Moon Walk, through
the streets of London . . . by moonlight . . . in my bra . . .
and all for
another excellent cause, raising money and awareness for breast cancer.
No pups allowed this time, just me & my team The Rockaboobies . . . and several thousand others . . .
I know that we all get requests for donations to worthy causes on a regular basis, and that charities are a very personal thing, but if you would like to add your support, any amount little or big will be most appreciated.
It's quite simple - just click on the link below:

Hope you're having a happy week,
'til next time

Good job, pups! I've never heard of this Moon Walk in a bra before, sounds like a lot of fun! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous walk you had with the pups! All those fields to run through ... my dog always walks about three times the distance I do when he runs ahead, then back, then ahead and back. He's good at keeping track of all of us on the trail (herding dog). Have fun on the moon walk! Wendy x
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the Moonwalk Gilly. Can't rave enough about this event - especially as my lovely brother Chris is the CEO of Breakthrough Breast Cancer - infact he's doing the walk too this year so you may spot him as I think its all women otherwise isn't it ?
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend

Wow, it is so beautiful and green there!! Glad you had such a wonderful day!! Wishing you a blessed and beautiful Easter! xo Heather
ReplyDeleteWell done to the gorgeous pups! The quilting group that I used to belong to was once asked by McMillan to do a sponsored run. As a lot of the members were older ladies, we decided to do a sponsored stitch instead!!
ReplyDeleteDidn't they do well Gilly and for such a wonderful charity. It really looked a pretty walk too. Good luck with your Moon walk, it's supposed to be an excellent course and a fun night with like-minded women again for such a good cause.
