EEEeekk ! !

Can it really only be 3 weeks 'til Christmas ??
Did it just sneak up on you too ?

No wonder Santa has a whole team of elves to help him - I could do with just one or two . . .
I really could use a Cutting Elf and a Pressing/Ironing Elf.
I'm quite happy doing the stitching and making and wrapping myself though.
Oh, and maybe a Housework Elf too,
and a Chef Elf,
so I could spend less time on chores and more doing fun crafty things.
If only Ben & Jerry were more useful, but no, the lazy pups prefer to nap . . .

do not let the sad woeful eyes deceive - inside she's dancing...or chasing squirrels more likely

Right, so - enough chitter-chatter . . . onwards and upwards  : - )

We haven't put our Christmas tree and decs up yet, but my lovely sis is coming to visit at the weekend and she's always up for a glass of mulled wine and a dance to Rocking Around the Christmas Tree whilst we deck the halls, so we'll get it done then.

But in the meantime, I just have to show you the absolutely gorgeous wee decs that I received from the lovely Kate at Just Pootling.   I was partnered up with Kate in the Christmas Decoration Swap which Marianne at Ladybird Diaries organized.  We were both late-comers but Marianne very graciously included us and how lucky was I ?

Aren't they sweet ?  The cutest little reindeer, red robin & Christmas pud arrived all beautifully wrapped in three little boxes. I do sooo love little parcels in the mail.

These pics don't really do them justice so please pop over to Just Pootling and have a wee peek at Kate's pics - they're way better.  The light must be better in the south west than it is here in the Midlands ; - )

And here's what I sent Kate . . .

. . . a little button bauble, dinky patchwork stockings, some mini-pegs (I just can't resist mini-pegs, can you ?) and a roll of Christmas ribbon all tied up in a fat-quarter of Scandi fabric.

Thanks Kate for being such a lovely partner and thanks Marianne for organizing such a fabulous swap.
I'm already looking forward to next year's . . .

* * * * *

Welcome to my newest followers - thanks for popping in, it's lovely to have you along.

I'm falling way behind with my blog reading -  maybe I do actually need a few more elves - but I do hope to be stopping by and saying hello again soon.

'til then
wishing you a merry & crafty week
xoxo

  14. You gave each other beautiful things. It looks like it was a very nice swap experience from the posts I've seen. I love that photo of your pup; in my Blogger feed, the small thumbnail pic makes her look like an otter. It's the angle and her glossy fur. :)

  19. All the ornaments are so cute! Love the little red-tummied robin, and the button bauble is adorable ;) My dog has been lolling around like your two pups ... except he likes to hop up on the couch beside me and puts his face on my leg and looks up at me while I try to knit & sew around him. Silly. Wendy x
