I've been . . . a List.

  •  sewing . . .

A pretty summery dress.

It's Eliza M's Marilyn Dress pattern - pretty easy-to-follow instructions, but I found the sizing a bit on the small side, so I ended up having to add two panels to the back bodice bit.  But just the hem to take up now and it's all done  : -)

  • stitching . . .

Inspired by a new book and practising my stitches.  I'm looking forward to joining in with Stitching Sundays over at Chrissie Crafts blog too, so lots more stitchy projects are in the planning.

  • quilting . . .

Finally finishing off the quilting on my Scrappy Glamping Trip quilt.  Still got to bind it, then it will be winging its way to its new home in sunnier climes.
(Despite the fact that the two most-adorable-pups-in-the-world seem to think it's for them**)

I've also only just finished quilting my Sweetest Thing quilt !
It's been sitting on top of the cupboard in my craft room, for ages, waiting patiently to be quilted.  I really would have loved to have had it professionally done, but Long Arm Quilting services seem to be sooo expensive in my neck of the woods  (if you can recommend someone around the UK Midlands, please do let me know), so I pushed my little Jessica Janome machine to the limit and just did it myself.

That's it peeking out from under the dress.

  • knitting . . .

some lovely-and-cosy warm winter socks

A very quick and easy-peasy pattern -  a perfect knit-while-watching-telly Autumn project.

It's fun to get things done and tick them off the WIP List don't you think ?
Although the list doesn't really seem to get any shorter as I keep adding things to it.
But that's the joy of creating though, isn't it ?

'til next time, wishing you a happy, crafty week . . .

xoxo

**note to L-A: I'll pop it in the wash before I post it . . .

But, my list is just like your list...as I cross things off I add things. Sometimes, I think I add a lot more than I take off. :-/ Have a wonderful week! :-)

  6. I am in awe of the beauty of your creative projects! The colour scheme of your quilt is eyecatching and completely joyful. I can only imagine the lengthy process invovled in quilting such a large patchwork quilt.

As for those socks they really are a delightful colour!

I so love your quilts, both of them and I too love Riley's fabric, if only I had some more money to do a little splurge. I am still new to quilting, but what a beautiful and inspiring work of art, I LOVE!! Happy week to you lovely Gilly xoxo

And the Scrappy Trip is a lovely easy one too, and so much fun to make. I know what you mean about funds for fabric too!
      Happy week to you too,

I agree with long arm quilting....I will never be able to afford to do that either, but long to have one....what I could do with that, OH MY!
For now, I've been doing a lot of hand quilting for my machine cant' take it any longer!

  35. What beautiful quilts! They remind me of all the quilts I have in the stage of "please will you quilt me" tucked away in my cedar trunk at the foot of my bed! I should be ashamed at how many are in there saying that... no, I'm not telling!
that dress is so cute... wish I could sew clothes - I can't even understand the patterns half the time... I need me some sewing classes, lol!
