I know it's Thursday and I'm a wee bit late joining in for Yarn Along Wednesday, but the dreaded lurgy has struck. . . again {much to my annoyance}. . . and once more I find myself with a horrible chesty cough and a fuzzy head. Aaarrghhh . . . But that's my excuse for being a day late anyway ; - )
{Oh, that, and all the post-holiday laundry that
needed doing too . . .}
Of course the upside to not feeling that great, is that it's also the perfect excuse to just lie on the sofa, catching up with episodes of Nashville, Body of Proof, NCIS etc, that I missed whilst I was away, and of course, making some progress on those W.I.Ps.
So here's what's on the go with hooks & books at chez moi. . .
Two crochet projects that were just perfect for taking on holiday:
A wavy, stripey cotton blanket that is almost, almost done - just the borders still to do;
and an oh-so-delicate lacey shawl, in the prettiest Manos del Uruguay Lace which is the finest & most dainty yarn I have ever used. I just love the soft, pretty colours but methinks it's going to take me a while to finish this one.
Both patterns are from my currently favourite book "Cute & Easy Crochet" by Nikki Trench.
And on my bedside table: the just finished "A Rural Affair" by Catherine Alliott, and the just started "Inferno" by Dan Brown. Both on my list-to-read before our next Book Club meeting.
The latest Molly Makes mag popped through the post box last week too - don't you love those Sassy Sisters on the cover ? May just need to have a go at making one or two sometime.
Linking up today with Ginny at Small Things.
Have a happy day, whatever you're up to . . .
xoxo

ReplyDeleteThanks Carol - the shawl is going to be a long-term project as it's quite intricate for my crochet level, but I am enjoying it :-)
