The geese are flying . . .

Yes peeps, I confess . . . there is a reason that most of the quilts I've made so far in my short quilting career, involve simple squares / strips / rectangles etc etc.  It seems I'm not very adept at intricate and little shapes . . . like flying geese !
I did however have a lot of fun learning how to make these, and really did try to be as precise as possible, but somehow my little geese are flying slightly out of formation.  Quite out of character for geese  ; - )

So I've just tucked them in at the side of the pic, in the hope that they don't look too squiff, and your eye will be drawn to those fabulously yummy apples, zig-zags and butterflies instead !
C'est la vie . . . and that's Row 5 complete.
Looking forward to seeing what Lori has in store for us in Row 6 later this week.

Onwards and upwards . . .

Hope you're having a happy start to the week,
xoxo

  6. I just finished my flying geese row too. Not my favorite but I love it finished. Mine aren't the straightest but once they are sewn into the quilt, they will behave! :) Yours are lovely!

  14. I don't mind an imperfect line of geese at all, I would be surprised if they really flew perfectly in line anyway. Your quilt looks so pretty...and perfectly perfect..to me!

  17. It looks perfect to me, Gilly! I like a little variation in a quilt here and there (my own certainly have them!) as it's then special and individual and hand made! Love the different patterns and colours you have created here :)

  18. The geese are flying the same direction at least. When we join them, they are going to be just perfect. I really like your colours. I make two different quilts, one dark and one light. Always looking forward to the next row.
