Well, we've taken down the wee tree and all the decs, and that's the Christmassy things all packed away for now. All except the pretty wreath with the twinkly lights that's still hanging on the front door. I think that's going to stay up for a little while longer . . . at least until the days start getting a wee bit lighter.
Our Christmas holiday house-guest, the Hubby's lovely sis, flies back to SA tomorrow after a busy three week visit, and then normality returns and we'll settle into the new year.
But I haven't been completely neglectful of all things crafty, and I have managed to sneak some time to complete my first projects for 2014 . . .
Made from a bundle of 9" squares with a selection of fabrics from the delightful Sew Me Something Emporium in Stratford upon Avon (if you're local, do pop in or have a look at the website - there is a whole array of fabulous workshops and courses on offer . . . ooh and the SALE starts today too) , and quilted by me on my trusty little Janome with simple straight lines.
And another similar but larger quilt made using the oh-so-lovely Winter's Lane fabric - a snuggly gift for a sweet friend who's quite poorly at the moment.
Like me, she loves much prettiness, and all things hearts - so this one I
had long-arm quilted by Bee Quilted in Warwick.
Can you see the lovely swirly
heart quilting ?
So, as the saying goes "Start how you mean to continue . . " (or something along those lines)
. . here's to a continued year of crafty fun
: -)
Happy weekend to all,
xoxo
Beautiful quilts using gorgeous colours.
