Yarn Along Wednesday . . .

I'm linking up with the lovely Small Things Yarn Along today.  Do hop over and have a wee peek at all the lovely yarny & booky posts . . .

At our last book club meeting of 2012, we all took along a favourite read, placed them in a pile on the carpet and then picked out one.  So, on my bedside table this week is "Paths of Glory" by Jeffrey Archer.  It's based on the life story of George Mallory and I'm so thoroughly enjoying it.
I can honestly say I've never really fancied rock climbing (I do like walking in the mountains though), but I do marvel at the courage (or is it madness ?) of those who take on the challenges of high peaks.   This book was my pick from the pile, and it came highly recommended by its donor - I'm glad I chose it.

Oh, and is anyone else loving the new Homemaker mag ?

And on my needles? A charcoal, chunky, cosy, cabled jumper that is knitting up so quick & easy, that I may just do another one the same when this one is finished. In a different colour, of course.  The front and both sleeves are done, and I'm just about to start the cabling on the back.  I reckon if we have another rainy weekend, I'll get it finished in no time ; - )

So that's my first knitty project of the new year well under way - YAY . .  a good start, don't you think ?

Happy Wednesday,
xoxo

    1. Hi Ria - thanks for following, and for your sweet comment :-)
We have two pups - they are sisters, called Ben & Jerry (named after our favourite chocolate ice cream & they don't seem to mind having traditionally boys names !), and they are almost 3 years old. Going to pop over and have a little look at your pinterest board now! Lekker dag,

    1. Hi Bee - I really like Homemaker so far too. Lots of pretty things and fab ideas. I'm trying to curtail my mag addiction a wee bit, but so far my efforts seem to be in vain!
