But in between all that, we had a lovely time with my visiting sis-in-law and were out and about all over the place which was fun, and I've had a few wee snatches of creative moments too.
I've been . . .
baking
doughnut muffins . . . |
and a Tangram puzzle cake for a party that the Hubby attended |
and sewing . . .
helping my friend Jenny make her first ever quilt |
whilst her sweet baby Rose took a nap |
And making a start to the little flying geese that are the next row of my Row Along quilt.
Oh, and I've actually finished the other pair of socks too. Yay. Thanks for all your lovely comments on my previous post - the socks are indeed toasty and being put to good use in this nippy weather we're having here.
Some Christmassy projects are on the cards next - can't wait to get started on all the ideas that are currently buzzing around in my head. A direct result of having a pile of lovely new Christmas mags as my rainy day reading matter. Happiness is . . .
Have a great Thursday,
xoxo
Those doughnut muffins are amazing aren't they. Tried them recently at baking club, very clever and tasty. Quilt looks fab too.
ReplyDeleteThey are yummy indeed - that's the first time I'd made them but definitely one of my favourites now!

MMMmmmmmmmmm Baking... I bet your house smells lovely, also I LOVE the socks! Those are always good to have in the winter, I have to be honest and say I have never actually met someone that made their own, that's fantastic! And here I have boring ole socks!! Love the quilt as well and the baby is just adorable! Your friend is blessed!
ReplyDeleteTee hee - the day before it smelled of baked camenbert & garlic, and then grilled sweet chilli sausages, so I really HAD to bake!! The socks are so simple to knit, you should give it a try :-)

Aw thank you - I used a new icing decorator which I haven't quite mastered yet, so some of the little blops are a bit squiffy, but it was for a bunch of boys so I don't think they noticed!!
