The Bank Holiday weekend turned out a lot less rainy than the weather forecasters had led us to expect.
YAY :-)
Having planned to be indoors and get some crafty stuff done, when the sun appeared unexpectedly we seized the opportunity and moved quickly on to Plan B: Outdoor Stuff.
So,
I've been . . .
gardening,
(Weeding actually... they were starting to outnumber the plants ! )
spending quality time with the pups,
giving them a bath,
and a towel-dry,
and a chewy reward for being patient and (mostly) well-behaved while we did so.
And then on Monday the predicted rain arrived, and provided the perfect excuse for me to retreat to my little craft space and make a start on my new quilting project.
YAY . . . again :-)
Hope you had a happy weekend too?
xoxo
Sounds like the perfect weekend to me! I love to sew when it's raining!
ReplyDeleteThere is something enjoyably therapeutic about being inside doing something creative when it's miserable outside, isn't there?
DeleteSounds like a good weekend, we bathed our dog over the weekend too! Your quilt looks pretty!! :) :) Have a wonderful day! xo Holly
ReplyDeleteThanks Holly - not sure the pups will stay clean for long with all the rain and mud that's around! Happy Wednesday :-)
DeleteWhat a lovely weekend ... your dogs are beauties and what a lovely quilt ... Bee xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Bee - pouring rain here again today so hoping to get some more quilting done too!
DeleteLove your pretty quilt!! I have a Janome! What model is yours? xo Heather
ReplyDeleteThanks Heather! It's a DXL603 - I love it, it's so simple to use and does everything I need it to, so just perfect for me. And it's a whole lot quieter than my clunky old one was! xx
DeleteYou bathed your pups outside?? ;0
ReplyDeleteYip - always! They have their own bath tub and warm water on tap :-)

Hi Gilly, (Is that short for something?) Love your quilt, and really love that china! It's beautiful, glad it survived those trips! Look like wonderful dogs, I'm sure you enjoy them a lot. I also love being out in the yard gardening.
ReplyDeleteHi Terry - yes, it's short for Gillian. Thanks for popping in & following :-) We've had such a rainy summer here that we just have to get the gardening done whenever we can!
DeleteOh boy I am having the same problem with the weeds. The last few week ends I have been in the yard. Your fur babies are just precious and your quilt project is just gorgeous. Love the fabrics.

Thanks for your sweet comments. Have a happy Thursday xx
DeleteLove the pics of your dogs having a bath! I must do Lottie but she hates it and runs away when I get the big box out :)
ReplyDeleteTee hee - Ben & Jerry will do anything for treats so we always have some to hand! But they love their bath - fortunately, as they also love mud!!
