A lovely long weekend...

The Bank Holiday weekend turned out a lot less rainy than the weather forecasters had led us to expect.
YAY  :-)
Having planned to be indoors and get some crafty stuff done, when the sun appeared unexpectedly we seized the opportunity and moved quickly on to Plan B: Outdoor Stuff.

So,
I've been . . .

gardening,
(Weeding actually... they were starting to outnumber the plants ! )

spending quality time with the pups,

giving them a bath,

and a towel-dry,

and a chewy reward for being patient and (mostly) well-behaved while we did so.

And then on Monday the predicted rain arrived, and provided the perfect excuse for me to retreat to my little craft space and make a start on my new quilting project.

YAY . . . again :-)

Hope you had a happy weekend too?

xoxo

    1. There is something enjoyably therapeutic about being inside doing something creative when it's miserable outside, isn't there?

    1. Thanks Heather! It's a DXL603 - I love it, it's so simple to use and does everything I need it to, so just perfect for me. And it's a whole lot quieter than my clunky old one was! xx

  6. Hi Gilly, (Is that short for something?) Love your quilt, and really love that china! It's beautiful, glad it survived those trips! Look like wonderful dogs, I'm sure you enjoy them a lot. I also love being out in the yard gardening.

  7. Oh boy I am having the same problem with the weeds. The last few week ends I have been in the yard. Your fur babies are just precious and your quilt project is just gorgeous. Love the fabrics.

    1. Tee hee - Ben & Jerry will do anything for treats so we always have some to hand! But they love their bath - fortunately, as they also love mud!!
