Fabulous fabrics...

I popped into The Quilter's Den in Warwick yesterday morning to pick up some lovely new fabrics for my next quilting project.  Anita has guided me (very) patiently through my first three quilts so as I embark on my next one, it was good to get her usual good guidance and advice.
We've got a quiet and relaxing weekend planned, and the weather forecast says it's going to be rainy - so,  altogether perfect for some planning, cutting and sewing.  I haven't quite decided on the design yet, but right at the moment,  I'm leaning towards stripes... or big squares...

Of course I've still got that little blue cardi to finish knitting too ("Just how long can it take to do one more sleeve?", I hear you ask) ... and I've challenged Lee-Anne at craftyfatcat to the task of "let's see who can finish our current unfinished craft projects first" - thus bringing out the competitive streak in both of us.
She is almost finished a quilt for her daughter (my gorgeous God-daughter), which she started 3 years ago.  So the race is on...
