Row 8 : Tick

My first finish of 2013 - YAY . . .
Finally I've caught up and managed to get Row 8 in Lori's lovely "Bee in my Bonnet"  Row Along done.

Where's Wally Jerry ?

We even had a Row Along break along the way, what with all the busy-ness of Christmas and the holidays - so there was no excuse for lagging behind really, but once I actually retreated to my craft room and sat down to cut & sew, I so much enjoyed putting together this row of little mittens.  Aren't they sweet ?

The two most-adorable-pups-in-the-world have adopted the role of sewing mascots. Whenever I'm at my machine, the Jerry-dog likes to crawl under the table and lie at on my feet, whilst the Ben-dog takes up the guard position, outside my door, at the top of the stairs.  Peace usually reigns at least until dinner time, when the game is on to see who can annoy nudge the puppymummy vigorously enough to make her down tools and get the kibble in the bowls.

Ben takes her duty seriously and will challenge lick anyone who comes near !

Have a lovely weekend - no rain forecast so here's hoping everything gets a chance to dry out a bit. It's very soggy here at the moment - not to mention the endless wiping of muddy paws . . .

xoxo

  5. Oh I dislike wipings of the muddy paws! :) Your mittens are so sweet! I love the green with the big flower in the middle! So pretty! I think our forecast is suppose to be a bit warmer and a few chances of snow! Enjoy your weekend! Happy Friday, xo Holly

    1. Thanks Holly! I'm trying to train the pups to wipe their own paws... so far, it's not really working!

  6. I LOVE your mittens! They are adorable and go with the rest of your rows so well! I have the same "help" in my sewing room AND the same muddy paw issue. I have found that using baby wipes are a fabulous way to manage muddy paws! Cleans them right up and you can toss them away! Thanks for sharing your mittens and your adorable helpers!

    Cheery wave!

  16. Your mitten are so cute. I love the fabrics you used. Your guard pups are so sweet. Mine likes to lay under the table. I even have a pillow for her in my sewing room and she still chooses under the table.

  17. Your lovely quilt is growing. I love the mittens...and your puppies. I have a dog here who is also an expert at the nudging technique. She needs a handful of liver treats around six every night.

    1. Thanks Carol - nudging is sweet most of the time, but it has been known to cause stitching to be unpicked, at which time it's not enjoyed at all! Liver treats are definitely the way to go :-)
      Have a good week,
